Villages & Gear

Hooligan villages and Viking gear

BDA needs the human side of HTTYD too: Hooligan villages, traders, gear, houses, docks, and settlement life.

What Hooligan villages are

Hooligan villages are rare cold-coastal settlements. They are meant to place the player inside the Viking side of HTTYD, not just in a world where dragons spawn randomly.

A V0.5 village can include a Great Hall, dock, houses, storehouse, boats, catapult tower, and offshore statues. It is a small but important world system.

Villagers

Villages have adult and child Hooligans. Adults trade, walk around, sleep, greet players, and defend the village. Children do not trade or fight. If danger appears, they run and hide.

V0.5 does not use professions, reputation, workstation dependency, breeding, aging, or replacement population. The system is simple on purpose.

Trading

Adult Hooligans are the source of Viking gear and dragon saddles in V0.5. Weapons are not craftable in this version. You find villages and buy gear from Hooligans using emeralds.
